Lighthouse Park, Roosevelt Island
The recycling drop-off site will be located at the entrance to Lighthouse Park, at the Northern tip of Roosevelt Island. Roosevelt Island is accessible by Tramway from 59th Street and 2nd Avenue (just swipe your Metrocard!), F Train to Roosevelt Island, Bus from Queensboro Plaza or Car via the Roosevelt Island Bridge at 36th Street in Long Island City.

Did you know that 5.7% of NYC's residential waste is textiles yet they are 100% Recyclable! Recycle your unwanted textile materials at the Union Square Greenmarket every Monday 8AM - 6PM through December 2008!
Textiles are collected EVERY Monday from 8 A.M to 6 P.M. on Union Square West near 15th Street. Acceptable donations include used clothing, shoes, boots, hats, jackets, towels, bedding, and linens. Goodwill will provide receipts upon request for those who may want to use their donation as a charitable contribution.
Please note that textile collections may need to be temporarily suspended when the reconstruction of the north end of Union Square begins this year. Please visit www.cenyc.org to obtain up to date information on the status of the Material Mondays textile collection program. Just click on Recycling and check the Events Calendar!
